Thanks! Yeah I havnt checked that site for ages seems like its gonna take a while to get going if it catches on. Yeah I was really lucky with the band stuff as pretty much my whole group of friends are musicians and they comprise about 5 bands between them. Was good because it let me make all the mistakes in my original posters and let me hone my craft without having to worry about not getting a chance to get another breif.

If youve got anyone you know in bands id suggest thats the best place to start, if not I'd make a few projects up and practice on them and then approach a band from there. Youve definately got enough talent to get into it, what id suggest though is that you study some dynamic composition techniques. Something I definately learnt the long and hard way is that band posters and merch are designed to immediately grab the viewers attention and it took me a good year of poster work to begin to understand how to layout my ideas to get their maximum potential on the page.

Anyhoo good luck with it all ill catch ya online and probly around the traps ;)
